Fear? Envy? Vanity? Responsibility?
What does it take to be successful? I believe the answer is determination. Whether it’s your job, school, goals in the gym, or even your boldest dreams, you must be DETERMINED. Every day I begin my “work” as a Team Beachbody Coach and I am inspired by everyone around me. Like I often say, “iron sharpens iron”. I am better because of you. And I hesitate to call something I love doing so much WORK. Every time I read posts and private messages from my team, I think about y’all sweating, groaning, scratching and clawing your way to better bodies. You have something you want and you’re going after it. You don’t just WANT it or EXPECT it to happen. You WORK FOR IT by pushing yourself hard through each and every workout. It takes trust to believe in what you coach is telling you. It takes DETERMINATION to stick with it time and time again when quitting is such an easy option.
I’m also inspired by my own hope of reaching out to folks who are NOT as inspired as you. Friends, colleagues, strangers who continue to struggle and who are afraid to push themselves. There are so many people out there that have a dream of being fit that they see as totally unattainable. They don’t know how or where to start. Or they may simply be afraid to sweat and do what they need to do to achieve their goal. I need YOUR help in reaching those people. If you know someone that would benefit from my coaching, PLEASE encourage them to reach out to me. Our door is always open.
As a coach and the leader of a Team Triumph, I always get emotionally invested in your success. If you fail to achieve your goals, I feel I have failed you. Ultimately I have realized, though, that it is YOU that are in control. I can take someone down the path step by step, workout by workout, meal by meal, but if they’re not ready for that level of commitment and willingness to follow the directions of their coach, they cannot and will not succeed.
There are many, many people who would do anything to accomplish their fitness goals and get to a healthier place in their lives. Are you one of them? I have people waiting for spots to open up, in the hopes of giving me everything they have to better themselves. If this is not you, I urge you to take a moment and evaluate why? If you truly want to accomplish what you have set out to do, don’t be the thing that stands in your own way. Have a look around you. Become inspired by what others are doing. Follow the directions of your coach. If you have a bad day eating, or you didn’t hit an all time best in your work out, move on. Don’t waste time beating yourself up. We’re all human. Move forward STRONGER from that lesson and overcome it next time. If there is something holding you back, or you don’t understand, ask me or your teammates for help. I chose to be a coach for that very reason. To help others in any way I can. Whether it is with an addiction to food, or being unsure of how to achieve your goals through exercise and nutrition…whatever it is, I want to help.
Never forget that its YOU that has to go into this journey with a positive attitude and drive, every single day, giving it 100% of your effort. When you are that determined, you inspire others and can accomplish ANYTHING.
